We started off with games in a circle, i.e. splat, and discussed why we use circles in drama. Mostly because there is no hierarchy and everyone can see everyone. Easy space to share ideas and feel included.
Then we got into small groups and created a photocopying machine with our bodies and sounds, and then a soundscape of a stormy sea atmosphere.
We then went got into all of our groups and were given tasks to work on and then show to the other groups. Our task was to create a bad customer service and a good customer service scenario that takes place in a library. The feedback we got was to act more like adults and not like students, as well as not making it so pantomime-y good and bad scenarios.
Alex still hasn't responded to our email so we haven't been able to set up a meeting yet and get started. W have been watching staff training videos for some inspiration.
